MOUSE is the hilarious allegorical tale of
Jess - a charming young
mouse who is trying to understand why everyone around her does what they
do. Why are mice (and people) the way they are? Jess, equipped simply with
determined curiosity embarks on an inspiring quest for answers. Among
those she queries are her parents, her teacher, her best friend Bowey and a
wise old Mouse called "The Sage" who lives deep inside a maze.
The knowledge she gains through her journey of discovery turns out to be as
much about herself as the others who populate her mouse world.
MOUSE
is a multi-leveled production whose central meaning can be understood in
different ways by students of different ages and levels of maturity. The
mouse family and additional characters will be played by four actors and
performed in the usual robust physical theatre style for which Axis
